University of Mary Washington - People for the Rights of Sexual Minorities
PRISM promotes visibility and education for gender and sexual minorities on the UMW campus. We provide a safe space where anyone in the community, GSM or ally, can come and meet like-minded people, learn about issues facing the community, and have a good time.
Meetings are on Mondays at 9 PM in the Red Room in Woodard Campus Center.

Submission from an anon:

Since next weeks topic is religion and the GLBT*QQIAAP community, I wanted to share this link: http://www.believeoutloud.com/learn/find-welcoming-church

It’s a map of all christian churches that are friendly and welcoming to the GSM community. And the neat thing is that to be on the list, the churches actually have to have implemented practices towards the goal of making their church more queer friendly. I know that a lot of queer people and allies struggle with God and religion, especially within the christian tradition, but there are churches out there that are not only accepting, but welcoming to gender and sexual minorites.
